Mercurial Communications Inc. is a private Canadian software corporation that provides consulting, custom solutions, and product development. Mercurial is based in Victoria, British Columbia.
Most recognized for our work on the Netscape 8.x browsers (under contract with AOL), Mercurial has developed more than 600 projects in web interface and functionality development, multimedia and corporate collateral materials. Our clients range from local small businesses to international corporations, from non-profit organizations to federal and provincial government. We support the community by donating a percentage of our time to charitable organizations.
Chris Coldwell, CEO
Mercurial was founded in 1996 by Chris Coldwell. Chris' extensive IT experience has been earned through public and private sector projects in Canada, the United States and the United Kingdom. Chris uses a creative approach to software engineering and business solutions, and is recognized for a unique ability to develop innovative solutions for clients.
A finalist for the 2006 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award, Chris' integrity and respectful treatment of clients and employees has earned him the respect of many in the computer industry.
Ashley Whitworth, VP Marketing
Ashley joined Mercurial in early 2005 when the company acquired 2NA
WEB inc., her successful web design firm. In her position as a Marketing
Strategist she contributes to the company's positioning strategy, as
well as offering marketing assistance to the numerous businesses the
company serves.
Ashley employs a disciplined business ethos built from her more than 12 years in the technology industry, and recently, the achievement of her MBA from Royal Roads University.
Leon Carl, Director of Operations
Leon has been with Mercurial since 2000 and is affectionately known as the 'senior electron herder'. His vast IT experience and easy-going manner assures clients that he can get the job done.
As a technical architect and/or lead developer, Leon has seen many of Mercurial's most complex projects through to a successful conclusion. Recently, his role has evolved into responsibility for operations at Mercurial: he is now involved in resourcing and coordinating most projects within the company.
